  • Hone your strategies for job searching by working with theÌýCareer Center
  • Apply to graduate school
  • Plan ahead forÌýCommencement
  • Confirm academic standing with your advisor
  • Remember theÌýCareer CenterÌýoffers access to a limited number of services and resources for up to two years following graduation
  • Participate inÌýcareer fairsÌýand on-campus interviews.
  • Submit the finalÌýImmersionÌýproject and see that it is reflected on your transcript once complete

Vanderbilt Commencement is traditionally held on or just before the second weekend in May, though specific dates may change based on the needs of the university community and the graduating class.

From Student to Alum

Even though your student will soon leave campus, they'll remain VU for Life. That means they'll soon join a community of Vanderbilt alumni with countless opportunities for connection, learning and networking. Visit theÌýAlumni AssociationÌýpage for an introduction to the Vanderbilt Alumni Association, and don't miss all the resources available to graduating seniors and new alumni through theÌýCareer Center.

  • Degree Requirements

    Degree requirements vary based on your course of study and school. For more information about specific degree requirements, please see your school's catalog.

  • Graduation Confirmation

    All students scheduled to graduate in a given term will receive an email from the Office of the University Registrar containing a link to the Graduation Confirmation form. On the form, you student will be asked to provide information that will help ensure the information listed on your diploma and in the Commencement program is accurate.

  • 4 Years of College & Then What? Webinar

    Join Owen Graduate School of Management's career services staff and alumni from our specialized master programs for a career-focused panel discussion. Learn about ways your student can maximize their time in college and take advantage of opportunities that will help them successfully launch into their chosen career field. Topics will include experiences for a stand-out resume, career investigation techniques to prepare for life after college, and practical skills your student should be developing now. This event is hosted in conjunction with Vanderbilt Parents and Family Programs.
